Process Detail:

Our technicians manually perform every step of the process. First, each filter is thoroughly inspected. We clean the filters cell by cell, ensuring all cells are clog free. We then bake the filter at a high temperature for the appropriate amount of time to burn any unused hydrocarbons which are then converted into ash/soot. Next, we re-clean the filter cell by cell. Last, we do the final inspection. The whole process with inspection results will be documented on your invoice.

 

Our manual process is superior to an automated cleaning process. With an automated process, blasts of air are blown through the filters only cleaning out the cells with the least amount of particulate. The following blasts of air will follow the path of least resistance through the cleaned cells, leaving the other parts of the filter uncleaned and low-performing. This will lower engine performance and gas mileage. Filters cleaned in this manner will need to be cleaned at a more frequent interval.

 

In rare instances if your filter is found to be damaged we will still be able to clean it if the damage is not severe, but we can not warranty the damaged filter. It will however pass emissions. We do not carry new replacement DPFs or DOCs at this time.
